The X-700 was Minolta's top manual-focus SLR of the early 1980s and added full Program autoexposure to aperture priority and manual control. It made serious SLR shooting feel easy.

MPS, or Minolta Program System, lets the camera choose both shutter speed and aperture with compatible lenses. It turns the X-700 into a very capable automatic camera when you want speed.

Choose it if you want a flexible Minolta SR-mount body that can be automatic for quick shooting but still lets you learn aperture priority and manual exposure.

It is the crowd-pleaser of the Minolta manual-focus line: accessible, lightweight, feature-rich and backed by excellent Rokkor and MD lenses.

The X-700 is electronic, so buy tested and use fresh batteries. Its convenience is worth it, but condition matters.
