KONO!

KONO Manufaktur is an independent film brand based in Germany, founded in 2014. What started with respooled motion picture film has grown into one of the most inventive catalogs in analog photography, 45 films and counting, spanning experimental effect films, creative emulsions, and now their own original color negative stock.

Their latest release, KONO Color 200, marks a new chapter: a clean ISO 200 C-41 film developed with a long-standing German emulsion partner and produced entirely in-house on custom-built machinery. In 2025, analog photography was officially recognized as intangible cultural heritage in Germany, KONO Color 200 was made to celebrate exactly that.
