Leica Monopan 50 is a black and white 35mm film with exceptionally fine grain, sharp detail and a rich range of grey tones. Its ISO 50 speed is a good fit for bright days, landscapes and portraits where texture and light take centre stage.

Monopan 50 has superpanchromatic sensitivity extending to 780 nm, opening up possibilities for infrared photography with a suitable filter and adjusted exposure. Yellow, orange and green filters offer further ways to shape contrast and tonal separation. 🎞️

Leica specifies a resolving power of up to 280 line pairs per millimetre at an object contrast of 1000:1. An anti-halation layer helps control light spreading around bright areas. Load and unload the film in subdued light, as recommended by Leica.
