C41 Color Negative Processing Kit
CONDITION
C-41 is a color negative film developing process commonly used for 35mm and 120 color films.
It's widely used for color negative films from various manufacturers. The C-41 process involves the development of three emulsion layers—cyan, magenta, and yellow—each responding to a specific color in the visible spectrum. Popular brands that produce C-41 color negative processing kits include Kodak, Fuji, and others.
Developer: The developer is a chemical solution that initiates the development of the exposed silver halide crystals in the film. It's responsible for forming the negative image.
Blix (Bleach and Fix): The Blix solution combines the bleach and fixer steps of the process. Bleach converts the developed silver into a silver compound, and fixer removes the unexposed silver halides, making the image stable and ready for printing or scanning.
Stabilizer: This solution helps in stabilizing the film, preventing color shifts over time.
